Biography & Research:
Francesca Giampieri, PhD (2013), works as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Clinical Science, at the Polytechnic University of Marche (Ancona, Italy). She was graduated in Biological Sciences (2007) and pursued the Specialization in Food Science at the Polytechnic University of Marche (2014). She has extensive experience in field of chemistry, in the assessment of the nutritional and phytochemical composition of different foodstuffs, and in the field of biochemistry, in the evaluation of the role of dietary bioactive compounds on human health, and in particular on the biological mechanisms related to oxidative stress.
