Biography & Research:
Dr. McEvoy is Associate Professor in the Departments of Radiology, and Family Medicine and Public Health; and Associate Director of the Altman Clinical & Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) Center for Life Course Research at the University of California, San Diego. She is a member of the Women’s Health Center of Excellence (WHCOE), the Stein Center for Research on Aging, and the UC San Diego Center for Healthy Aging. She leads a multidisciplinary research program focused on improved understanding of cognitive changes in healthy and pathological aging; clinical, behavioral, and genetic risk factors for age-related cognitive decline and dementia; sex differences in cognitive aging; and biomarkers for early detection of Alzheimer’s disease.
