Biography & Research:
Kayela Robertson, PhD, is a neuropsychology postdoctoral fellow at VA Puget Sound Health Care System (VAPSHCS), Seattle division. She completed her internship at Rush University Medical Center and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University. Her research has focused on examining cognitive correlates of everyday activities, and how naturalistic, ecologically valid tasks could be used in neuropsychological assessment and intervention. She has worked on interprofessional teams that developed technologies designed to detect cognitive decline, enhance compensatory strategy use, and delay functional disability. She is currently working on the Adult Changes in Thought (ACT) study to examine prevalence of MCI, dementia incidence, and cognitive indicators of neuropathology in a robust community cohort.
