Biography & Research:
Dr. Yi Tang, MD, PhD is a Chief Neurologist and associate professor for the Department of Neurology, Innovation Center for Neurological Disorders at XuanWu Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China. After graduating from Peking Union Medical College with MD and PhD, he completed his residency in neurology at Xuanwu Hospital. Continuing his education overseas, he accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital. Currently Dr. Tang serves as the Deputy Director for the Key Laboratory Neurodegenerative Diseases for the Ministry of Education in China. His primary research focus is identifying new biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, and nonpharmacological interventions for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, including computerized cognitive training and transcranial current stimulation.
