Biography & Research:
Ariana Stickel, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at San Diego State University. She examines the associations between cardiovascular disease risk factors and risk for dementia using neuropsychological testing and structural neuroimaging methods. Other areas of interest include the roles of sensory impairment, reproductive health, and acculturation on cognitive aging. The majority of Dr. Stickel's work centers individuals of Hispanic/Latino/e heritage.
