Biography & Research:
Diane Carol Gooding, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard & Radcliffe Colleges, and subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1996. On the basis of her work on risk indicators and precursors of schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, She was elected a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and the American PsychoPathological Association (APPA). Dr. Gooding is a Deputy Editor for Psychiatry Research and on the editorial board for numerous journals. Her research interests in dementia primarily focus on working to eliminate health disparities in Alzheimer's disease by studying biomarkers and risk indicators in under-represented and under-included groups. She is currently engaged in community-based participatory research to increase the inclusion of minoritized groups in biomarker studies and clinical trials. Dr. Gooding is primarily interested in identifying risk factors and predictors of risk for Alzheimer Disease and related dementias, studying biomarkers in under-represented and under-included groups, and exploring the applicability and feasibility of clinical trials and anti-amyloid treatments for different groups. r
