JAD announces sister-journal: Journal of Neuromuscular Diseases

7 February 2014

After the successful launch of sister publications the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease and the Journal of Huntington’s Disease, JAD is delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of the Journal of Neuromuscular Diseases (JND), a new high-quality journal giving equal weight to original research in basic science, translational research and clinical studies in neuromuscular diseases and related disorders.

These are exciting times for neuromuscular disease research. Recent years have seen great progress in genomics and molecular biology that herald the most promising period yet for translational research in these diseases. We believe that such a wealth of valuable research deserves a high quality forum.

JND will be lead by Editors-in-Chief Dr. Carsten G. Bönnemann (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, NIH) and Prof. Hanns Lochmüller (Institute of Genetic Medicine, Newcastle University).

Call for Papers

The Journal of Neuromuscular Diseases is now accepting submissions, and we invite you to share this news with your colleagues. The first issue of JND is aimed for the summer of 2014, and all papers published in the first 2 Volumes will be openly available without author charge. Similar to JAD and its sister publications, it features a first class Editorial Board and will provide rigorous peer review and rapid online publication.
