Biography & Research:
I am a physician (neurologist)-scientist who spent 32 years in academia and in June, 2015 started a non-profit (501(c)3) company focused on disease discovery and therapy development. My major interests are mitochondrial dysfunction in the aging brain and age-related brain diseases. More recently my group has been creating iPSC's from mononuclear WBC's of donors, then turning them into neural stem cells and differentiated neurons. We use these cells as platforms for therapy development and discovery research in neurodegenerative diseases.
