Biography & Research:
Alexander Koppara, Dipl.Psych. is a clinical Neuropsychologist and Psychotherapist from Bonn,
Germany. He studied Psychology at the University of Trier, Germany and worked as a Product Manager
for computerbased psychometric testing for Hogrefe Test Publishers. He is currently completing his PhD
thesis at the University Clinic of Bonn and DZNE. His research interests include the Investigation of Subjective
Cognitive Decline (SCD) and modifyable lifestyle habits as a risk factor for future Alzheimer’s Dementia.
He is an expert for longitudinal modeling of cognitive decline with structural equation modeling techniques. Using data from cohort studies such as the AgeCoDe study and from the German competence network dementia, he investigates novel phenotypes for dementia research, such as the delta-Model. His research also focused on innovative early detection of Alzheimer’s Dementia with computerized assessments like "Feature binding in visual short term memory" or MRI based machine learning classifiers.
