Biography & Research:
Sergio Salmerón is a geriatric physician. MD and PhD Health Sciences (University of Castilla-La Mancha). He obtained his medical degree at the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and his geriatric´s residence at the Albacete Universitary General Hospital (Spain). He completed his geriatric´s residence training at the Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorders Center in the Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston (USA). He has a master´s degree in frailty and aging from the Spanish National Distance Education University (UNED). At present, he is working in the Department of Geriatrics, Villarrobledo Hospital (Albacete, Spain). He serves as a reviewer for the Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology Journal. He is the vice president of the Castilla-La Mancha Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SCMGG). His research focuses on dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
