Biography & Research:
Matthew Pase is an Associate Professor at the Turner Institute at Monash University and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his Ph.D. on vascular contributions to cognitive aging before undertaking postdoctoral training at the Framingham Heart Study and Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Pase’s research uses large cohort studies to advanced understanding of modifiable risk and protective factors for dementia, particularly with respect to vascular risk factors, sleep, and diet. He is also involved in the validation of non-invasive biomarkers for vascular cognitive impairment and dementia.
At Monash, A/Prof Pase leads the Healthy Brain Project Lab together with A/Prof Yen Ying Lim. In addition, A/Prof Pase co-leads the International Sleep and Dementia Consortium, the Cognitive Working Group of the International Stroke Genetics Consortium, and is an Investigator on the Framingham Heart Study.
