Biography & Research:
Yan Wu, M.D. and Ph.D., is Vice Dean of Basic Medical Sciences in Capital Medical University and Full Professor of Anatomy. She obtained her Medical degree from Capital Medical University, and got her Ph.D. degree from the department of Anatomy in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Afterwards, she worked as a scientist in Max-Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich for two years. Currently, she is working in the department of Anatomy in Capital Medical University, and working as an Adjunct Professor of Beijing Institute for Brain Disorders as well. Besides, she is one of the peer reviewers of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), committee member of Chinese Society for Anatomical Science and China Association for Alzheimer’s Disease, and Vice Secretary General of Beijing Society for Anatomical Science. She and her team focus on exploring the NMDAR-mediated mechanisms of AD.
