Biography & Research:
Research in the Laboratory for Endocrinology, Aging and Disease (LEAD) involves understanding the mechanisms that regulate aging throughout life as described in the Reproductive-Cell Cycle Theory of Aging (Bowen and Atwood, 2004; Atwood and Bowen, 2011). The LEAD is actively engaged in translating the basic findings from this research into diagnostic and prognostic tests and therapies for age-related diseases.
