Biography & Research:
Served as President, and Immediate Past President, from 1990-1998 of the International Federation for Cell Biology;
Permanent positions at the NIH's Gerontology Research Center in Baltimore (now a prominent part of the NIA); post-doctoral work at University of California at Berkeley, PhD in Medical Research at the Australian National University (Canberra) Experimental Pathology Dept, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's Biomedical Research Division, and currently Director of Clinical Outcomes Research at St George Hospital (Orthopedic Surgery) and conjoint professor at the University of New South Wales. Interest is researching modes of actions for deteriorative diseases (aging, Alzheimer's disease)
