Biography & Research:
I am a science writer and spent the first 25 years as a brain reporter for Newsday. I left in 2008 to start an art & literary journal at a new medical school - Hofstra. I have also been writing for Neurology Today since I left Newsday. I completed a six-month dementia fellowship in 2017 and am a fellow in the Global Brain Health Institute, part of UCSF and Trinity College in Dublin.
