Biography & Research:
Dr.-Ing. Kristina Yordanova is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Rostock and honorary research associate at the University of Bristol. She is principal investigator in the project Text2HBM, funded by the German Research Foundation. She obtained a doctor degree in ubiquitous computing at the University of Rostock, a master degree in artificial intelligence at the University of Maastricht, and a bachelor degree in computer engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her expertise lies in the fields of situation-aware assistance and sensor-based monitoring and behavior interpretation of people with dementia, as well as automatic knowledge elicitation. She has been involved in various projects aiming at building systems for sensor-based behavior assessment of people with dementia and the automatic suggestion of support and intervention strategies to the patients and their caregivers.
