Biography & Research:
I studied medicine at the Royal Free Hospital (now UCL) in London where I obtained a BSc in molecular medicine as well as my medical degree. During my advanced clinical training in Psychiatry I obtained an MSc in affective neuroscience from the universities of Maastricht and Florence. I was awarded my PhD in 2016. My PhD focused on APOE, a risk gene for Alzheimer's disease and whether it affects cognition or neurones before older age. I am now working on the effects of neurodegeneration on mental illness.
