Biography & Research:
Hongmin Wang, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He obtained his PhD in Zoology/Neuroscience from the University of Idaho in 2000 and postdoctoral training in Neurodegeneration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on elucidating the role of proteostasis in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and aged brains using cells (including the induced stem cells) and mouse models. He is also interested in studying the role of cerebrovascular diseases in developing AD.
