Biography & Research:
Fernando E Taragano, MD, Ph.D, is a Summa Cum Laude Medical Doctor at University of Buenos Aires, Full Professor of Psychiatry since 2002 and has a Diploma in Medical Education at University of Tucumán. He is Principal Investigator since 2003 and actually is Clinical Investigator at The National Council of Research and Technollogy from Argentina. He is a National Certified Psychiatrist and has been awarded by the Honorable National Academy of Medicine in 2006 because of his research on Mild Behavioral and Cognitive Impairment. Although he has made multiple research and is the author of multiple papers, Dr. Taragano´s research is primarily focused on neuropsychiatry symptoms not only in dementia but specially in prodromal dementia. He is who developed the Mild Behavioral Impairment concept (MBI).
Since 2002 he is collaborating as a Physician Rater for Health Information Research Unit of McMaster University from Canada. Finally, Dr. Taragano is currently working in the biggest Psychiatric Hospital of Argentina with the aim to develop a renewed area of research in dementia.
