Biography & Research:
I am a neurologist specialized in neuropsychology. I have significant clinical experience since more than thirty years with a special interest in neurodegenerative diseases at all stages including prodromal, mild and severe stages with psycho behavioral symptoms and palliative care. My experience includes deep experience with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia with Lewy body and patients with fronto-temporal dementia.
I worked in several university hospitals across France, including ”Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris”, where I worked as a neurologist in a geriatric center, where I gained lot of experience with geriatrics patients suffering from neurodegenerative diseases.
I hold also a Ph D in Psychology and I am member of the French Language Neuropsychological Society and the French Social Science for Dementia Network.
Since 15 years I run the memory clinic and research center at the university clinical and research center of the University hospital of Nancy, which provides diagnosis, treatments and follow-up for patients with memory and cognitive disorders.
I created the cognitive behavioural unit for patients with severe stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia and have developed a concept of non pharmacological care, mainly through implementation of a therapeutic garden, which also serves as a specific research platform to systematically evaluate various aspects of the benefits of such a garden.
For 20 years I participate in academic research and phase 2/3 and 4 clinical trials as co-investigator and as principal investigator.
