Biography & Research:
Dr. Yasar is a fellowship-trained geriatrician with clinical background in dementia, research training in pharmacology, and research experience in pharmacoepidemiology of cognitive impairment. The overarching theme of her research is to identify novel pharmacological targets for prevention and/or treatment of dementia. She has expertise in the area of pharmacoepidemiology of cardiovascular disease modifying medications, including antihypertensive and lipid-lowering medications, and their role in ADRD using data from numerous observational and intervention studies.
