Biography & Research:
I am Julie Ottoy, a biomedical engineer and currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Sunnybrook Research Institute, Toronto, Canada. I am specialized in PET imaging biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease. Being a reviewer helps me to stay up-to-date with the ever-growing body of scientific knowledge in my field and adds to my great passion for writing and teaching.
My main research topic is the application of biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, with the main focus on PET quantification (amyloid deposition, tau, cerebral blood flow, and neurodegeneration). I am experienced with dynamic PET scanning with full quantitative pharmacokinetic modeling. In addition, I have worked with TSPO PET tracers for quantification of microglia activation.
