Biography & Research:
Claudine Berr (MD PhD, Inserm research director) heads the group on “Age-related cognitive disorders” at the Inserm unit 1061 in Montpellier. She is an epidemiologist recognized at the international level in the field of cognition and dementia. Her main research topics concern the scientific and technical development of cohorts for studying determinants of dementia and cognition in middle aged and elderly population. She is the scientific responsible of the 3C Montpellier center since 2005 including the 2 ancillary 3C projects (COGINUT and COGICARE). She led the CONSOLAGE project (EST-2016/1/102) on occupational exposures to solvents and ageing in the CONSTANCES cohort. She was president (2011-17) of the HCSP’ (High Council of public health) commission on chronic diseases
