PhD in physics, University of California, Berkeley, 1971 Career in laser remote sensing of atmospheric constituents, 1973-2004, with positions at SRI International, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (California Institute of Technology), and NASA Langley Research Center Key health studies: Ecological study of diet and Alzheimer's disease, 1997, through J Am Coll Nutr. 2016, Alz and vitamin D, JAD, 2009. and Ecological studies of solar UVB doses and cancer incidence and/or mortality rates, 2002 to present; currently, vitamin D and COVID-19.
