Biography & Research:
My research focus has been on early diagnosis and treatment of AD throughout my Specialty Training in Italy. This strong interest has led me to move to the UK and undertake a DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences and Clinical Research Fellowship in Cognitive Neurology at the University of Oxford. During my training I explored the potential of CSF and plasma biomarkers in early detection of biological changes associated with preclinical AD, and their ability to predict conversion to AD. My PhD work has been focused on early digital screening that could be used to track subtle changes in cognition over time. At this point of my career, I have acquired a wide range of expertise within Cognitive Neurology, from blood-based and CSF biomarkers, to MRI and PET analysis, eye-tracking and behavioral testing.
