Biography & Research:
Yi-Hua Qian, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Department of Human Anatomy and Histology-Embryology at Xi’an Jiaotong University in China. She obtained her Ph.D degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2000. She studied as a visiting scholar at University of Kyushu University in Japan from December 2001 to March 2002. As a visiting scholar, she studied at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine from July 2006 to August 2007.
She is a member of Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences and member of Chinese Neuroscience Society.
Dr. Qian’s research mainly focuses on the pathogenesis, prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. To elucidate the mechanism of production, deposition and degradation of amyloid protein in AD models, and to explore the prevention and treatment mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine and small molecular substances on AD model animals.
Dr. Qian led and completed six research support come from national natural science foundation of China and 2 Shaanxi provincial scientific research subjects. A total of more than 90 papers have been published by Dr. Qian.
She won the 2013 Wang Kuancheng Education Award. She won the "Zi Niu" Award of excellent doctoral thesis supervisor come from Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center In 2015. In 2018, she won the first batch of famous teaching teachers in Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center.
