Biography & Research:
Dr. Wu’s primary research focuses on cognitive disorders such as frontotemporal dementia and tauopathies.Dr. Wu established the first national multicenter FTD cohort in China, the CHIFGENS cohort. His groundbreaking research into the pathogenic mechanisms of familial FTD in the Chinese population led to the discovery of novel gene mutation sites, elucidating the pathogenic gene functions, and identifying critical target genes for FTD's genetic mechanisms and drug development. Dr. Wu also pioneered a multidimensional early screening system for cognitive impairment in the elderly.
