Biography & Research:
Dr. Hamzah Alzubaidi currently works as an assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy, University of Sharjah. Dr. Alzubaidi has more than seven years of experience in applied behavioral research, focusing on health services and population health fields, particularly in diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, and mental health.
Dr. Alzubaidi is currently leading a multidisciplinary research group at the University of Sharjah, focusing on improving health care delivery and chronic disease management. Dr. Alzubaidi has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. In his latest diabetes and CVD risk assessment research project, he is working with eminent international researchers to develop an effective and culturally appropriate pharmacy-based screening program. This research program received funding from the Harvard School of Medicine for the amount of AED 274,000.
Dr. Alzubaidi has over 15 publications in top key international peer-reviewed journals and an excellent record of accomplishment in attracting research grants. Dr. Alzubaidi is a regular reviewer for the top pharmacy practice journal including the Journal of Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy and International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy.
