Biography & Research:
Brendan Lucey, MD, MSCI is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Sleep Medicine Section Head at the Washington University School of Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont and Doctor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Lucey focuses on the relationship between sleep, aging, and Alzheimer's disease. His research has shown that changes in sleep-wake activity has potential as a marker for Alzheimer pathology and that disturbed sleep may be a mechanism promoting Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis.
