Biography & Research:
I am a philosopher and ethicist. I am an experienced lecturer, researcher and IRB ethics member. My research is covered by a comprehensive interest in conceptual and ethical questions at the interface of mental health/neurodegeneration/ neuroscience/ psychology and (disordered) human behavior. It is triggered by recent developments in mental health, mental public health and the neurosciences and their ethical and conceptual challenges. I invoke philosophical reasoning as well as empirical qualitative research methods. I have ample expertise in teaching applied ethics, research ethics and philosophy to students in health science, brain science, medicine, biomedical science and (forensic) psychology. I am knowledgeable and well experienced in current research ethics regulations and the ethics member of the Maastricht Medical Ethical Research Committee
