Biography & Research:
Dr. Claudio Di Lorito is a Research Fellow in the Division of Rehabilitation, Ageing, and Wellbeing of the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychiatry obtained at the University of Nottingham and an M.Sc. in Mental Health Studies from King’s College, London. His research interests focus on behaviour change and physical exercise in dementia. This area of research aims to promote the uptake and long-term engagement in physical activity and exercise of people living with dementia, to slow down motor function deterioration, and to reduce the risk of falling and hospitalization. He is the author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications. His latest publication is as the author of the book chapter “Older people as victims and perpetrators of crime”, included in the latest edition of the Oxford Textbook of Old Age Psychiatry.
