Master Degree in Gerontology and currently (since 2008) Full time professor at the USC, teaching, among other degree and post-graduate courses, in the Master in Psychogerontology. My research was focused mainly on the study of cognition and language changes in the Elderly, particularly in those who show cognitive complaints. Currently, I am interested in studying cognitive aging longitudinally, detecting early signs of cognitive decline progression in SCD, and MCI to dementia, the role of cognitive reserve in early manifestation of dementia, and the development computerized cognitive interventions to prevent dementia and other age-related diseases. I am member of the Galician research networks about frailty (http://frailnet.es) and dementia (http://regidem.imaisd.es) and participate in the collaborative initiative Spanish Consortium for Aging Normative Data (SCAND) (https://www.scandcognition.org).
