Biography & Research:
Dr. Li is currently a research assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His research interests include neurolaryngology, voice disorder, hearing loss, and artificial intelligence. Most of his recent publications focus on the application of electrical stimulation to the laryngeal muscles as a treatment approach to vocal fold paralysis. He is currently working on an NIH-funded clinical trial to investigate using an implantable electrical stimulator in the treatment of bilateral vocal fold paralysis in humans. He is also interested in exploring a similar approach in the management of facial paralysis. In addition, he is now engaged in applying machine learning techniques in the detection and diagnosis of various diseases.
