Biography & Research:
Ashley M. Stokes received her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Duke University, followed by post-doctoral training at the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science. While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Stokes was involved in the development of quantitative MRI biomarkers for neuro-oncology, including the development and validation of new acquisition and analysis methods for perfusion MRI. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Barrow Neuroimaging Innovation Center, at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix AZ. At Barrow, her research focuses on developing advanced imaging methods for neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. Her research interests include diffusion, perfusion, and functional MRI in aging and Alzheimer's disease.
