Biography & Research:
In 2009, Dr. Jun Wang graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry. After the post-doc training at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and working as a R&D chemist at Pharmaceuticals International Inc., Jun joined Hubei University of Technology (Wuhan, China) in 2015 as a faculty in the Department of Biomedicine and Biopharmacology, and is serving as a full professor and the director of International Joint Research Center for General Health, Precision Medicine & Nutrition. Dr. Wang has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers in fundamental and translational fields, including Journal of the American Chemical Society, British Journal of Pharmacology, Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, Free Radical Biology and Medicine, Inorganic Chemistry, etc. Dr. Wang has multiple ongoing national or international research funds to carry out research in two fields: (1) the role of reactive nitrogen species and reactive oxygen species in neurological disease; (2) the role of reactive nitrogen species and reactive oxygen species in COVD-19. Jun has been serving as a reviewer for several academic journals, including Inflammation, Free Radical Biology & Medicine, Nitric Oxide, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Redox Report, EBioMedicine, Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy.
