Biography & Research:
Dr Hayat’s research focus has been in the epidemiology of cognitive ageing and dementia. Her area of interest is to understand the relationship of non-modifiable and modifiable factors and cognition across a range of function and cognitive abilities. Her research focus has been to get a better understanding and insight to heterogeneity in cognitive performance observed in older people and to identify what influences are important to consider when assessing cognitive function in both national and international ageing population. Dr Hayat has extensive experience working on cohort studies and cohort data.
