Biography & Research:
Our lab focuses on translational research of neurological diseases. We are unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying the microRNA-mediated neuronal differentiation in diseases, such as Autism and Alzheimer’s disease. We are studying the physiological roles of microRNAs in normal development and diseases and developing miRNAs as biomarkers with the therapeutic potential in neurological disease treatment. We are also establishing the neuropathophysiology cross-talk between Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease; as well as exploring the novel stem cells therapy in Parkinson’s disease. I will oversee and monitor the progress of the whole project, coordinate with team members and collaborators, train research staff, and prepare progress reports and manuscripts
