Biography & Research:
Dr. Maurino is Country Medical Director, Neuroscience at Roche Spain. Prior to join Roche, he spent nearly 10
years at the Medical Departments of Janssen and AstraZeneca in Spain. Dr. Maurino received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He completed his neurology training at the Hospital Universitario J.M. Ramos Mejía in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and his specialization in cerebrovascular disorders at the Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Maurino’s research interests include the perspective and preferences of people with different neurological
disorders and the mechanisms that influence therapeutic decision-making in neurology. He has authored or
co-authored over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
