Biography & Research:
I am a Professor in Physiology at the Metropolitan University of Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. I received my master's degree in Pharmacology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo and my Ph.D. in Physiology at the University of Campinas/Louisiana State University, New Orleans (USA). I did my postdoc training at Imperial College London at Heart and Lung Institute, London, England.
My main research interest is dementia, biomarkers, and physical exercise in Brazilian older women focusing on sex differences and inequality in older citizens related to the modifiable risk factors for dementia.
