Biography & Research:
Li Hong is the vice president of Fujian Provincial Hospital, laureate of the 47th Florence Nightingale Medal ICRC, the Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, National Outstanding Worker, and the executive director of the Chinese Nursing Association.
Prof. Li's primary expertise centers on geriatric nursing, health management and critical care, her research achievements have been highly acclaimed by counterparts both at home and abroad.
Prof. Li has been focusing on the forefront of nursing development, keeping on paying attention to social health needs and dedicating to solve health problems based on professional researches. In recent years, she has led a team to study non-pharmacological intervention and integration health management system for cognitive impairment-related diseases in the elderly, and published many high-quality research papers in foreign authoritative journals. Over the past years, she has also endeavored to foster more professionally-competent nursing talents, many students have graduated under her guidance. She has won numerous academic awards that include the highest honor in the field of nursing in China, First Prize of Science and Technology Award of Chinese Nursing Association.
Prof. Li has presided over one National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Project, two National Natural Science Foundation projects and more than 10 provincial projects. Prof. Li is the deputy editor of International Journal of Nursing Sciences, and has edited or reviewed 20 books, published more than 100 papers including 42 SCI papers in prestigious journals such as International Journal of Nursing Studies, Age and Ageing, Journal of Advanced Nursing and Journal of Alzheimer’s disease. Prof. Li was granted 12 national awards and more than 20 ministerial or provincial-level awards.
