Biography & Research:
Christian Füllgrabe, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in Audiological Sciences at the Ear Institute of the University College London (UK). He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Paris 5 and received a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship to work as a post-doctoral researcher in the Hearing Lab at the University of Cambridge (UK). He then worked as a as a Senior Investigator Scientist at the MRC Institute of Hearing Research in Nottingham (UK), and as Lecturer in Psychology at Loughborough University (UK).
Christian’s work consists in the behavioural and physiological study of the sensory mechanisms underlying auditory temporal processing and their role in speech perception in normal and pathological populations. He is also interested in the role of cognitive functions in speech processing in adverse listening conditions, and the developmental trajectories of sensory and cognitive processing abilities across the adult lifespan. His work has been funded by Action on Hearing Loss, the British Society of Audiology, the Oticon Foundation (Denmark) and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Christian is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, the International Journal of Audiology, Frontiers in Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience, Frontiers in Audiolgy and Otology, and PLoS One.
