Biography & Research:
Research Interests: 1) Early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease; 2) PET and MRI imaging analysis; 3) CSF/Plasma biomarkers.
Dr. Guo focuses on studying the early abnormal signs of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) using multi-model neuroimaging and biofluid markers (including plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers) in cognitive unimpaired (CU) and cognitive impaired (CI) elderly adults as well as in mouse models. He has been investigating the relations of β-amyloid β (Aβ), tau, neurodegeneration and cognitive decline among different stages of AD. The ultimate goal is to detect AD as early as possible, and provide novel insights into the early intervention of AD.
