Biography & Research:
Jack Rogers PhD studies how RNA stem-loops translationally control iron homeostasis in neuronal degeneration. He co leadsthe Neurochemistry lab at MGH and now investigates pharmacological modulations of iron homeostasis towards neural survival from stresses from environmental metals and SARS-CoV-2. The co-directors of Neurochemistry at Massachusetts General Hospital and are on the faculty at the Harvard Medical School with a funded track-record in top scientific journals (Cell, J. Biol. Chem. and PNAS). Their peer-reviewed publications won a Zenith award from the Alzheimer’s Association and grants from the Michael J Fox Foundation, each on translational control models to treat disease progression.
