Biography & Research:
My research expertise is in the areas of biostatistics, medical informatics, randomized clinical trials, and advanced latent variable modeling for the optimiztion of cognitive outcome measures. I am also interested in the design of nonpharmacological interventions to delay pathological cognitive decline. My work in applied biostatistics lie in the areas of functional data analysis, development and evaluation of predictive models using statistical and machine learning, and novel approaches for the optimization of outcome measures. My work in ADRD aims to improve the understanding of 1) how lifestyle, behavioral, and social risk factors affect later-life cognitive health outcomes; 2) heterogeneity of disease trajectories; and 3) social stratification and cognitive health.
