Biography & Research:
Takashi Tarumi is a Senior Researcher of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. His research interest is to study the impact of physical exercise training on brain function, structure, and perfusion, with the ultimate goal to prevent late-life neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. His another research interest is to investigate the association between vascular function, particularly arterial stiffness, and brain health. He is familiar with the methodologies, including neuroimaging (e.g., DTI), ultrasonography, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
