Biography & Research:
Dr. Syed Haris Omar working as a Senior Lecturer, at Charles Sturt University and demonstrated over 13 years of high-quality student-centred learning and teaching experience with corresponding cadaver dissection experiments. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacology) from Charles Sturt University and received Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching (GCULT) from the University of New South Wales. Dr. Haris has shown extensive qualitative and quantitative research experience working for medium and large organizations in both private and public sectors. He serves as a Human Research Ethics Committee member and experience with the Ethics application and site application preparation and submission. His research area falls in the field of Neuropharmacology especially in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and is recognized through publication in several peer-reviewed journals. Further interest to extend the molecular and clinical research in ageing, dementia and obesity, but not limited. He is currently supervising MD’students and open to supervising HDR students (Master's and PhD).
