Biography & Research:
I have a background in psychology and performed my PhD research in the cross-cultural acceptability of interventions that my influence a sense of control in people with dementia at the end of life. Together with the team, I investigated the acceptability of advance care planning, the use of monitoring technology at the end of life, and euthanasia from the perspectives of people with dementia, their family care givers and physicians from 6 countries. Currently I'm involved in projects on technologies that aim at improving the quality of life for people with dementia. My research interest lies in palliative care and interventions that address psychological an existential needs.
