Biography & Research:
Dr. Chaur-Jong Hu is the founding director of the Dementia Center in Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital, New Taipei City, Taiwan. He is also a professor, Dean of the College of Medicine, Taipei Medical University. Dr. Hu obtained his medical degree from Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1990. He completed the Neurology residency training in Taipei Municipal Jen-Ai Hospital. He also has ever worked as a research fellow in the Department of Neurology, stroke center, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Dr. Hu has extensive experience in clinical trials of therapies for stroke, Alzheimer Disease and other neurological diseases. He has published over 250 peer-reviewed papers and 2 book chapters on the pathophysiology of ischemic injury of brain and use of botulinum toxin for neuropathic pain.
Dr. Hu is currently the Executive supervision of the Taiwan Neurological Society. He is also a fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA).
