Biography & Research:
Jackson Roberts is a resident physician in neurology at Massachusetts General Brigham and former National Institutes of Health research fellow in the Clinical and Translational Neuroscience Section at the National Institute on Aging. His prior work has related to the proteomic and metabolomic features of Alzheimer's disease, with a particular focus on the mechanisms by which the APOE e4 allele increases Alzheimer's risk across the lifespan. He has also made contributions within the field of drug repurposing for Alzheimer's disease, including nomination of known pharmaceuticals targeting STAT3 for further clinical evaluation. He has an interest in how common infectious disease exposures may increase Alzheimer's disease risk in late life, as well as the impacts of social network density on disease development.
