Biography & Research:
Ya-Nan Ou, MD, Ph.D., is Clinical Physician in the department of Neurology in the affiliated hospital of Qingdao university, Qingdao, China. She is the young expert of Taishan scholars. She obtained her Ph.D. from the medical college of Qingdao university in 2024. Dr. Ou mainly focus on the research in dementia and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The main fields are (1) to identify modifiable risk factors of AD, add new evidence and construct the evidence-based framework for prevention of AD; (2) to investigate the potential biomarkers for diagnosis, prediction, and prognosis of AD; (3) investigate the drug targets for AD by integrating genetics and proteomics. As the first or the corresponding author, Dr. Ou has published over 25 SCI articles in international top journals, including Nature communications, Molecular Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, etc. The H -index is 21. In addition, she has won 5 prizes including the third award for Shandong Provincial Scientific Advancement. She was invited to attend the 2024 American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting and won the "International Scholar Award"; the 2023 Alzheimer's Disease Association International Conference, and the 19th Continental and Oceanian Congress of Neurology in 2024 and won the conference scholarships.
